Henderson County is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of 2008, the population was 102,367. Its county seat is Hendersonville.
The county was formed in 1838. It was named for Leonard Henderson, Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court from 1829 to 1833.
